Dreaming of Azaan and Eid Salah

Pergunta: I saw a dream few days after Eid that I'm praying Eid prayers conducted by my father in the mosque because we were late for the Eid prayer that was conducted by the imam of the mosque. Mosque was empty with only my family and some relatives. and when my father started to call out to prayer a lot of people gathered us along and we were packed. I'm feeling happy that there are other people who came to pray as well. Unfortunately my father couldn't end the prayer because he was disturbed by someone and he started laughing and gave Salam and so did we. And he reconducted the prayer and later gave a bayan. What does this mean. Imam pls reply

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-Salamu Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuh.

It is stated in a Hadith that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said:  

وَالرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثَةٌ: فَرُؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةِ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللهِ، وَرُؤْيَا تَحْزِينٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، وَرُؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ الْمَرْءُ نَفْسَهُ،

Translation: Dreams are of three types: 1) Good visions are glad tidings from Allah, 2) A terrifying vision caused by the devil, 3) Visions of a person’s thoughts. Muslim

It is only the first category of dreams that are meaningful. The rest are merely visions that revolve around what a man thinks during the day or are frightening dreams infused by Shaytan in the subconscious mind of a person. Such dreams are meaningless.

There are many meanings related to Azaan, if the Azaan was given from the Masjid, the house, the market, the bed etc… each of them has a different meaning. It is the same in regards to performing Eid Salah, if it was Eidul Fitr or Eidul Adha.

As believers, our focus is in Takdeer and the decree of Allah. Do not focus too much on dreams. Dreams are temporary. Focus on the objective of life, the Ibaadah and obedience of Allah.

Also, make an effort to perform your Salah with more care and concentration. That will weaken the Shaytan’s plot to disturb you.
